WEEK 16 MEMORIZATION (4/19/09)
Psalm 1:3 speaks of a blessed man being like a tree planted by water. Drinking the “water of the Word” every day is necessary for a healthy spiritual life! When we fill our mind with God’s Word we are refreshed and our “roots” grow – deep and strong, empowering us to stand when the winds of difficulty blow. We will also bear fruit when we stay rooted near the water. We can trust in these promises as we continue to memorize His refreshing, empowering Word! To Him we ascribe glory, honor and praise… Holly

Isaiah 55:11 provides a precious and powerful promise from the Lord: “so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” As His Word is received into our hearts and minds, the Lord is using it for His purpose. It will succeed in that for which He sent it in to our lives. As we memorize His Word, believe this promise… it is producing a work of the Lord in us.
